On Monday, August 10, 2009 the teachers of Roger Gehring Elementary School were forced to have a Staff Development Day to make up the Snow Day we had in December. Our administrators decided to take us on a field trip. So we all loaded up on to a yellow school bus and took off to the Springs Preserve. It was quite informative and I recommend going but not when the temperatures are in the triple digits. It is very interactive and provides very useful information for not only the youth but adults as well. After lunch at the onsite Wolfgang Puck Cafe we loaded back on the bus and headed for The Mirage. We were fortunate enough to have our own private tour of The Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat. Again, great place to go but not in the heat.
