Sorry, we haven't blogged in a couple of days.

Here are a few updates;

We are still finishing up school/district/teacher needed assessments to help us teach your students the best we can.  Giving them takes time and so does grading them. We should have them all wrapped up by the end of next week.

We are still working on EnVisions Topic 2: Addition Strategies and should be finished by this Friday, concluding with their first "official" math test.

ParentLink is a very valuable tool for parents to follow and track their student's grades.  We just got our electronic grade book and it is different than last year, so please be patient with us as we learn it and get grades into it.  We had said before that progress reports will go home every 3 weeks, instead they will go home once a month (the first week of each month).  We would like to encourage parents to use ParentLink to view grades between those times.

Most parents are familiar with our home recommended websites like www.tickettoread.com.  We need to give those companies time to put our class lists together and give us passwords.  As soon as websites are ready to go, I will send home the info.  For now, www.starfall.com, www.mathfactcafe.com or www.storylineonline.net are great sites to use until everything is up and running.
